Sprout baby, organic baby food review and giveaway!

AND THE WINNER IS CARRIE, CONGRATULATIONS!

oh I was so excited when I came across this website not only does sprout baby carry baby food but they also have a lot more fabulous products all Eco friendly and organic. They do all the research and put all the products in one spot for you to find. I was very excited when I recieved my organic baby food in the mail. I had read up about it on their site. The founder and chef behind this line of food is no other than Tyler Florence from The food Network.

If you don't recognize his name I am sure you recognize his face, I love his show "Tylers Ultimate" If you have not seen it you should.

This is what I got in the mail, a little sampler for the baby. He loved the sweet potato and white bean which I have to say I have not seen that combo anywhere else. Love that he is getting extra fiber and protein that comes with beans. I also tried him on the banana and brown rice as soon as I opened the pouch I could smell the bananas, it smelled so fresh. OK so I tried it, I never understood those parents that give their kids foods that they would never put in their own mouths. It should just be regular food that has been smooched. That is exactly what Sprout baby food is. Fresh organic ingredients that has been blended and smooched for your baby. By the way delicious, no wonder my baby finished it. I thought he would not finish the whole pouch, you can just store it in the refrigerator because the top closes like a Ziplock bag, mine never got to that. I have to say this food is a lot thicker than the other brands, but I welcomed that. It took a little bit for my baby to get used to the texture, I started with small bites and moved to normal bites as we went along. He is seven months now and would be getting a little thicker food so that he learns the process of chewing. Also it makes it much easier to feed the baby when the food is not like watered down version of what its supposed to be. Not only is putting the baby food in the pouches Eco friendly since it educes waste, and in addition reduce energy consumption in the manufacturing and transportation of the food , that also means that its easier for you to transport and put it in your diaper bag. Who needs a bulky glass container in the bag when you can use a flat pouch. I still love making my own food as well, but I have to say its very time consuming and than you put it tin the freezer only you forget to put it in the refrigerator to defrost, than you over heat it, meanwhile the baby is crying because they are hungry. Its good to have some other convenient options available and I have to say I was very impressed. Thanks to Sprout baby for such a wonderful product. Jody at Sprout baby has been generous in her offer of your choice of a twelve pack of organic baby food.
